3D Modeling with ChatGPT Code

As I was researching out some ways to generate 3D with AI, I chanced upon the opportunity to use python coding in blender and with the help of ChatGPT. For how I tested with the prompt to ask ChatGPT code me a script in blender to create a water vfx in a sphere. As from the videos that I came across was just people testing the 3D model generation part. However, I wanted to take it a level higher to add particle effects. The initial results were not as great as it kept appearing errors in the script provided, thus I tried bringing back the errors to ChatGPT to fix the issues.

It was only after the 3rd attempt to fix the issue , the script finally worked, to which my surprise was that the result was rather simple but it managed to script out something may perhaps required more time to manually do. Therefore, I believe it still might be a problem to try coding a AI 3D model generator with just blender and ChatGPT.

Further Testings

Thereafter, I wanted to test how complex perhaps ChatGPT would be able to script something organic to model and prompted it for cat model. Which resulted in a really simplified version comprising of basic shapes. If the prompts are too complex, it will only execute the simplified versions.

However, I was still not really satisfied with the testing even though it might not lead to anywhere, but lastly I wanted to try if it could model and rig a cat with ChatGPT prompt. With the same prompt but the outcome was slightly different for the model and the rig was totally off.

FLUX

I just tried out using flux, I’ve yet to push the system as my current laptop does not have the hardware specs to support it. I could only use it on my desktop back at home which will be a problem if it involves the use of such similar programs.

Starting Out

The first step was to get COMFYUI isntalled locally onto my desktop and give a try, I was using a sample workfile by official website that helps with hardwares that runs under 12gb ram. The initial render took at least a minute or two for the render which was relatively slower than what I expected.

Thereafter, with not much knowledge yet, I decided to put on hold in trying out this program as my computer specs may be a problem. Hence, the following day I will be getting a new laptop replacement as it due time for my current laptop as well since it's already with me the past 7 years.
